Xi Jinping summoned international company executives over trade tensions.

Xi Jinping hosted a meeting with CEOs of world-renowned foreign companies amid escalating international trade tensions.

According to Nikkei Asia on March 28, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with CEOs and representatives of world-renowned foreign companies and asked for support from private companies in developing the struggling economy amid escalating trade tensions between China and the United States.

This meeting followed Xi Jinping's meeting with Chinese business leaders and was attended by CEOs, executives, or representatives of more than 40 international companies, including Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Samsung. This demonstrates the Chinese regime's commitment to supporting private companies in particular. During the meeting, Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of the US and European markets to China.

In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook's visit to China this week drew attention, as he was received by the Chinese Minister of Commerce.

Despite increasing external pressure and a significant decline in foreign investment, China is trying to attract foreign companies through its domestic market.
