The wife of Uyghur Idriss Hassan, who was arrested in Morocco two years ago at the request of China, appealed to the international community, saying: "Morocco has decided to deport my husband to China, do not allow to deport him to China and send him to death."
Idris Hassan, a Uyghur who has been residing in Turkey since 2012. He left Istanbul for Morocco on a tourist visa on July 20, 2021, but was arrested by the Moroccan authorities in Casablanca at the request of China.
Idriss Hassan, who was arrested because of the Red Notice issued under Chinese pressure, is still detained in Morocco despite the removal of the red notice after it became clear that he was innocent.
Hasan's wife, Zeynura Opul, a resident of Istanbul, spoke to Uyghur news. Confirming that the Moroccan government has decided to deport her husband to China, Zeinoura said: "the Moroccan government's deportation of my husband to China means sending him to death. I ask people with human dignity all over the world not to allow my husband to be deported and sent to death".
