US targets two Chinese companies over forced labor practices.

The United States has banned some goods produced by two Chinese-based companies seeking to eliminate forced slave labor practices in the US supply chain, prompting Beijing to issue a warning to impose measures to protect the rights of Chinese companies.

The US Department of Homeland Security said in a statement on Tuesday that its action targets the companies Camille Group Company Limited, a manufacturer of batteries, and Chen Guang Biotech Group Limited, which manufactures spices and natural extracts. She added that the ban will be applied today, Wednesday.

The ministry added that the measure seeks to strengthen accountability for the "ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity" against the Uyghur people and other religious and ethnic groups in East Turkistan, which has been occupied by China since 1949.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday: "the so-called forced labor in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) is just a century-old lie by anti-Chinese forces to discredit it." ،

She added that China strongly condemns the ban and will take measures to protect the rights and interests of its companies, without going into details.
