US Defense Secretary: We are confronting the threat from China

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegesses stated that the US government is working to contain China and establish peace in the Indo-Pacific region.

As Al Jazeera reported on March 26, Hegesses emphasized that the US is making efforts to counter the growing Chinese threat in the Indo-Pacific region.

In a written statement released on the matter, Hegesses stated that the US is developing its defensive and offensive capabilities, and that US President Donald Trump is adopting the approach of achieving peace through strength.

He added: "We are working to produce the F-47 long-range aircraft with tremendous destructive power, and we are taking steps to provide weapons to our allies and partners."
