Trump signs executive order on TikTok

After assuming the presidency and entering the White House, Trump signed an executive order regarding the Chinese app TikTok, delaying restrictions on the app.
Donald Trump became the 47th President of the United States after taking the oath of office at the January 20 inauguration ceremony. According to Voice of America, on his first day as president, Trump signed an executive order delaying the implementation of restrictions on the Chinese app TikTok. At the same time, he warned about the possibility of imposing additional tariffs on China if an agreement is not reached.
Trump indicated he might approve a plan that would allow American ownership of TikTok while permitting continued collaboration with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. According to the order, instead of immediate restrictions, a 75-day period was given to resolve data privacy issues. However, some Republican House members opposed Trump's plan, emphasizing that TikTok should sever its ties with China. Trump's position has shifted from advocating for a ban in 2020 to now trying to save TikTok.
Related reports note that various predictions and analyses about the Trump administration's China policy are being put forward. Analysts indicate that while he didn't implement the harsh anti-China policies that the international community expected on his first day in office, his tough stance toward China hasn't changed and may emerge in subsequent steps.
