Trump's offer on Palestinian refugees has been rejected

US President Donald Trump's proposal for Palestinian refugees has been rejected by Jordan.
The Associated Press reported on January 27 that President Trump had proposed relocating about 1.5 million Palestinian refugees to Egypt and Jordan during a delicate period of negotiations following the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. But the two countries strongly opposed the proposal, fearing unrest and the negative impact of permanently expelling Palestinians from their homeland.
Trump had discussed the issue with Jordanian King Abdullah and was scheduled to speak with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Despite Trump's firm stance on the issue, US allies, including Representative Lindsey Graham, said Trump's proposal was unrealistic.
Egypt and Jordan reportedly support the creation of a Palestinian state and are concerned that resettling Palestinians in other countries would hinder that.
