The Center for Uyghur Studies in the Islamic World has held a series of events in Indonesia since December 8 to highlight the genocide and anti-Islamic crimes committed by China in East Turkistan.
A four-member panel led by Abdul Hakim Idris, director of the Uyghur Research Center, together with Indonesian universities, NGOs and activists, first gave a lecture on the genocide and religious repression in East Turkistan at the National University of Indonesia in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
On December 9, the committee met with some non-governmental organizations and youth organizations in Yogyakarta and informed them about the current situation of Uyghurs.
On December 11, the committee also spoke at an international symposium on Uyghurs held at Muhammadiyah University in Mahasar, Indonesia, and called for the Islamic world to help Uyghurs.
From December 12 to December 14, the board also held three seminars on Uyghurs in cooperation with local universities and organizations in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
The events held at the Indonesian National Students Union (KAHMI), Al-Azhar University and Paramadina University were attended by a large number of university officials, teachers and students.
Al-Azhar University of Indonesia is a partner university with China, and a "Confucius College" has been established under this university. For this reason, this activity organized by the Uighur Research Center in conjunction with this university has attracted the attention of many students.
Many students participated in the event, either live or online, and Abdul Hakim Idris, director of the Uyghur Research Center, answered some sensitive questions.
From December 15th to December 18th, in the cities of Bandung and Madan, Indonesia, together with local universities and non-governmental organizations, a series of new academic and social activities were held.
One of the largest Islamic organizations in Bandung, Indonesia, hosted a briefing on the Uyghurs. Mr. Azzam Mujahit, an Indonesian who has visited East Turkistan several times, described what he saw in a mosque in Urumqi.
In all meetings and gatherings, the Indonesian version of the book "Red Apocalypse: China's Colonization of the Islamic World and the Uyghur Genocide" by Abdul Hakim Idris, director of the Uyghur Research Center, was introduced and distributed.
On December 16, an international round table conference on Uyghurs was held at Alghifari University in the city.
On December 18th, another international seminar on Uyghurs was held at Nusantara Al-Washlia Muslim University in Madan, another city in Indonesia. The Uyghur Research Center organized this conference together with nine organizations or institutions, including the university. Dr. Firmansiah and Head of Organization of Islamic Cooperation Indonesia Youth Branch Astrid Nadia Risqita also spoke.
The group's activities in Indonesia have greatly upset the Chinese regime. In the past few days, pro-Chinese media in Indonesia have repeatedly published news attacking the Uyghur Research Center and the international Uyghur case. was resented.

On December 18-19, some Chinese Indonesians raised slogans in support of Chinese crimes and protested by burning the book translated into Indonesian by Mr. Abdulhakim Idris.
