The Uyghur delegation met with the leaders of political parties

A Uyghur delegation, led by Mr. Hidayet Ouzhan, the President of the International Union of East Turkistan NGOs, met with political party representatives in Ankara on September 6th.

During their visit, Mr. Hidayet Ouzhan, the President of the International Union of East Turkistan NGOs, Dr. Alimcan Buda, President of the East Turkistan Scholars Union, Dr. Abdukhalik Uygur, President of the Sutuk Burahan Ilm and Civilization Foundation, Dr. Ataullah Shahyar, former President of the East Turkistan Scholars Union, and Mr. Abdülhamid Pamir, the Ankara Representative of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations, met with some political party leaders in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

The delegation began their visit by paying a courtesy call to Mr. Nazif Yilmaz, Deputy Minister of National Education, in his office, extending their best wishes for success in his newly appointed position.

Furthermore, the delegation visited the headquarters of the Great Unity Party, where they met with Mr. Mustafa Desteci, the Party Chairman, Mr. Mahir Alay, and Mr. Ali Keser, the Vice Chairmen of the Party. The delegation also discussed the future of the East Turkistan cause with Dr. Fatih Erbakan, the Chairman of the Welfare Party, during their visit to the party's headquarters.

Finally, the delegation presented symbolic gifts in the form of East Turkistan flags to the political party leaders.

On the same day, the delegation met with Mr. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez, the former President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the President of the Institute of Islamic Thought. During their meeting, they discussed China's anti-Islamic policies in East Turkistan and the systematic crimes against Muslims.
