The Uyghur Delegation's visit to Japan is continuing

 

At a time when Japan-China relations are increasingly tense and Japan is facing security threats from China, the visit of the delegation of the International Union of East Turkistan NGOs, which was originally based in Tokyo, to expand the front line in the East Turkistan case and to raise awareness of different nations on issues related to the historical and real situation of East Turkistan continues.

The delegation consisting of the President of the International Union of East Turkistan NGOs (UDTSB) Mr. Hidayat Oğuzhan, who has been in Japan since July 31, Mr. Nijat Turgun, the head of European relations, and Abdulrashid Aminhaci, the Secretary General of the UDTSB, visited the Japanese Senate on August 2 and met with Senator Kiyoshi UEDA and the head of the Japan Uyghur Friendship Group, Furuya KİEJI.

During the meetings, in addition to explaining China's inhuman crimes, ideas were exchanged on the importance of strategic solidarity and acting together against China, which poses a threat to the world and the national interest and security of Asia Pacific countries, especially Japan.

During the delegation visited the Shizuoka Prefectural Parliament of Japan on August 3, the Deputy Speaker of the Prefectural Parliament Tanzawa Takahisa, the chairman of the working commissions on human Rights for various countries and the responsible Parliamentarians, met with senior local municipal officials. During the visit, he briefed on the current situation of East Turkistan and the work of NGOs in the diaspora and requested support in the East Turkistan issue.

WE WANT TO BUILD A BRIDGE WITH THE MUSLIMS OF JAPAN

The delegation also visited Mr. Muhammed Reshid ALAS, Undersecretary of Culture and Public Affairs of the Turkish Cultural Center of the Tokyo Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Imam of the Tokyo Mosque, and Dr. Musa Mohammed OMER, President of the Islamic Center of Japan, and expressed their gratitude for their interest in the Uyghur community in Japan. In the future, he wished that Japan would assume the role of a bridge with the Muslim communities.

WHY IS JAPAN IMPORTANT?

As part of the visit, which will last until August 8, the Uyghur delegation is expected to meet with representatives of East Turkistani NGOs in Japan, state leaders, parliamentarians, academics, journalists and other important figures to discuss China's systematic repression of Muslims in East Turkistan and joint cooperation.

The visit comes at a time when Japan-China relations are increasingly tense and Japan faces security threats from China. In addition, the visit is of great importance in the organization of the East Turkistan issue in Japan.
