The United States has criticized China's maritime hegemony

A US diplomatic official criticized China for using coercion and threats in its maritime sovereignty dispute.

According to the Associated Press, Daniel Kritenbrink, the US's top foreign affairs official for East Asia and the Pacific, criticized China's use of intimidation tactics and territorial claims against other countries in the South China Sea.

Daniel Kritenbrink: "China has both violated international law and used coercive measures that threaten US partner countries. China's behavior is unacceptable. These actions will create instability in the region.

China has been claiming that the South China Sea is entirely its territory, and the dispute in this area has reached the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Brunei and other countries.

China's aggressive actions in the sea are increasing. A few days ago, a Chinese coast guard ship entered the disputed sea area and collided with a Philippine ship. The Philippines announced that four crew members were slightly injured and complained to China.
