Ex-spy exposes China's secret police operation

A former Chinese spy has revealed the Chinese regime's secret police operation targeting dissidents living abroad.
According to the Australian ABC news channel on May 12, a former Chinese special agent in an investigation called "Red Corner" revealed the inner workings of China's notorious secret police agency and their "hunting" of foreign opposition.
It is said to be the first time an official from China's most feared and powerful secret branch of the intelligence agency has spoken publicly. The investigation also found that the secret police department carried out an undercover spying operation on Australian soil last year and secretly took an Australian citizen back to China in 2019.
Eric, a Chinese spy, served as an undercover special agent in the Ministry of Public Security, the Chinese regime's police and security agency, from 2008 to early 2023. The department is one of the Chinese regime's main means of repression, operating around the world to monitor, abduct, and silence critics of the Chinese Communist regime, particularly those of Xi Jinping.
The 38-year-old, who fled China due to security concerns, came to Australia last year and revealed his past to Australia's spy agency, the Australian Security Intelligence Service. Its missions and targets are said to involve China, India, Cambodia, Thailand, Canada and Australia.
