The Kazakhstan-China information exchange agreement has raised concerns

Kazakh President Kassym Jomart Tokayov visited East Turkistan after participating in the third so-called "One Belt, One Road" forum held in Beijing. It is alleged that Kazakhstan has signed an information exchange agreement with China, which will lead to the strengthening of human rights violations.
According to Chinese media reports, Kazakh President Kassym Jomart Tokayov visited East Turkistan on October 18, during which he met with the secretary of the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region Party Committee," Ma Xingrui, and the puppet chairman of so-called Xinjiang, Erkin Tuniyaz.
One reason for concern is that Kazakhstan's Senate passed an agreement last month as part of efforts to promote bilateral visa waivers, which includes an agreement between China and Kazakhstan to share personal information about Chinese citizens (including Uyghurs and Kazakhs) who come to Kazakhstan.
Aina Shurmanbayeva, a Kazakhstani human rights lawyer and president of the International Legal Initiative Public Fund, said that the Kazakhstan Senate's approval of the agreement would support the repression in East Turkistan. According to him, the Chinese regime will expand its suppression and control activities within the territory of Kazakhstan through this agreement. Aina Shurmanbayeva has experience in this matter, and she previously provided legal assistance to people who fled Chinese repression and took refuge in Kazakhstan.
According to Kazakhstan state media, Tokayov reiterated Kazakhstan's desire to strengthen and deepen cooperation with the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region" during a meeting with officials of the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region".
According to Voice of America, experts said that the increase in tourism between Kazakhstan and China and close cooperation with Kazakhstan's neighboring East Turkistan may lead to more human rights abuses and expressed concern about this issue.
