The United States pledged to protect the Philippines from attack in the South China Sea

The United States has promised to protect the Philippines from any attack in the South China Sea, which China has protested.
According to French International News, US President Joe Biden promised that the US will defend the Philippines if the Philippines is attacked in the South China Sea in a summit meeting with the leaders of Japan and the Philippines on April 11. This is actually a warning from the US to China.
It is reported that in the April 11 meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kushida, US President Biden warned China not to mention his name.
Biden stressed that the United States' defense commitments to Japan and the Philippines will withstand any test, and any attack on Philippine aircraft or armed forces in the South China Sea will trigger a mutual defense treaty.
At the summit, countering China's dangerous and aggressive actions was discussed, and the United States reaffirmed its plan to ensure peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and strengthen mutual cooperation.
A spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry criticized Mao on Wednesday for increasing military cooperation between the United States and Japan, claiming that the United States and Japan are meddling in China's internal affairs by slandering and attacking China over Taiwan and other maritime issues.
In recent months, tensions between China and the Philippines have escalated to a level not seen in years.
