EU to investigate China's medical equipment market

The EU is set to launch an investigation into China's medical equipment sales market to address concerns about the Chinese regime's unfair policies favoring domestic suppliers.
According to the French International News on April 15, the investigation may be announced in mid-April. After the investigation, China may be restricted from bidding in Europe.
According to reports, the investigation will collect information from European companies and EU member states. The main purpose of the investigation is to ensure that the Chinese market is fair and open by negotiating with China.
Reuters reported that China and the European Union last year agreed on the need to establish a balanced trade relationship and discussed geographical indications for medical equipment, cosmetics, and food to correct trade imbalances.
China has previously closed its medical equipment market to non-Chinese manufacturers and has been criticized for publicly discriminating against foreign manufacturers in tenders.
