Chinese and Japanese patrol boats collided in the Senkaku Islands

Chinese and Japanese coast guard patrol vessels clashed in the Senkaku Islands.
Voice of America reported on April 14 that the Chinese Coast Guard fleet continues to patrol the Senkaku Islands as a territorial claim, and the sovereignty dispute with Japan has intensified.
A separate notice issued by the Japanese Coast Guard said: "A Japanese Coast Guard patrol vessel has requested a Chinese Coast Guard vessel to leave Japanese territorial waters."
The Japanese Coast Guard said this year was the 10th incident involving Chinese ships entering the island. The two sides have clashed many times in the disputed sea. Both sides also sent patrol boats to ask each other to leave the area.
Before Friday's confrontation, the United States, Japan and the Philippines reportedly held trilateral talks at the White House to protest China's pressure on the Philippines over disputed South China Sea issues.
In a joint statement by the leaders of the United States and Japan, as well as the joint statements of the leaders of the United States, Japan, and the Philippines, Chinese armed coercive actions, including actions to undermine Japan's long-term and peaceful administration of the Senkaku Islands, are unacceptable, including attempts to unilaterally change the status quo in the East Sea.
