Shortly after this announcement, it was claimed that BYD would invest 1 billion dollars in Turkey. Now, officials from another Chinese electric car manufacturer, Skywell, came to visit Turkey.
Ulu Motor and Skyworth officials, the manufacturer of Skywell, one of China's technology companies, came together in Ankara to expand their existing strategic and technological partnerships on global platforms.
According to the statement made by the company, Stephen Wong, the founding chairman of Skywell, one of China's electric car manufacturers, and the owner and founder of Skyworth Digital and Skywell Europe, Skywell's co-founder and chief executive (CEO) Wu Longba, and Skywell Turkey and Skywell Europe Regional Director Chen. Quanrong Skywell visited Turkey to discuss its new investments in Turkey and its new models to be introduced to the market in the coming period, and to make contacts with the aim of expanding its existing strategic and technological partnerships with its Turkish distributor, Ulu Motor, on global platforms.
Nuri Ulubaş, the founding chairman of Ulu Motor and Ulubaşlar Group, Halil Ziya Ulubaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ulu Motor, Mahmut Ulubaş, CEO of Skywell Europe & UK, and Cankay Çetinkaya, Chairman of the Board of Skywell Ankara Authorized Dealer, attended the contacts held in Ankara.
CANKAY WAS AWARDED
Cankay Otomotiv, which hosted and is also one of Skywell's dealers in Turkey, was awarded with the Skywell Official Plaque. The plaque was given to Cankay Automotive Chairman Cankay Çetinkaya by Stephen Wong, the founding chairman of Skywell and the owner and founder of Skyworth Digital and Skywell Europe.
The delegation then attended the Ankara Chinese Consulate and the Türkiye-China Economic and Commercial Cooperation Forum and made contacts.
Skywell officials, who continue to work on establishing a vehicle production line in Turkey, bringing the spare parts supply system to Turkey and including the production of some parts here, stated that they aim to develop Turkey's new energy vehicle industry technology and capacity.
