The 4th International NGO Fair organized by the The Union Of Ngos Of The Islamic World (UNIW) and the Turkish Voluntary Organizations Foundation (TGTV), opened at Atatürk Airport.
In the opening ceremony where the Quran recitation and the promotional film about the activities of NGOs were shown, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated that NGOs are a beautiful tradition inherited from our ancestors.
In the opening program where UNIW Secretary General Eyüp Akbal, TGTV Board of Directors and Executive Board Chairman İsmail Tuğrul and many other valuable NGO chairmen made separate speeches, Gaza and East Turkistan as well as the atrocities experienced in different countries of the world were also mentioned.
EAST TURKISTAN PANEL HAS BEEN HELD
A panel titled “Islamic World and East Turkistan” was held following the opening event.
Speakers at the panel discussed the importance of the Fair, reminded that in today's era when the global system has completely collapsed, NGOs have more heavy responsibilities than ever before, and called on civil societies to do their part against both the massacre in Gaza and the brutality in East Turkistan.
The panel, which was moderated by the Secretary General of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations NGOs (IUETO), Mr. Abdureşid Eminhaci, included IUETO President Mr. Hidayet Oğuzhan and Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University faculty member and author Prof. Dr. Mr. Yusuf Kaplan, who gave speeches on human rights violations in East Turkistan and the responsibilities of the Islamic world in this regard.
EAST TURKISTAN STAND HAS BEEN OPENED
Over 400 organizations from over 60 countries opened their own stands at the 4th International NGO Fair.
In this context, the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations opened an East Turkistan stand and explained the services provided regarding the East Turkistan issue to the visitors, and it became the center of great interest for the fair participants, general guests, and media members.
In addition, authorized names from many NGOs, especially UNIW, TGTV, and IHH, who visited the East Turkistan stand, conveyed their good wishes.
Various events will be organized within the scope of the fair, which includes more than 200 civil society organizations from the Islamic world and Turkey.
IT WILL END WITH THE PRESIDENT'S PARTICIPATION
The fair, where the NGOs will sign the "Gaza Istanbul Declaration" and call on the world to stop the genocide in Gaza, will last until November 23 and will end on the last day with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
