According to the China Watch Network on March 16, foreign companies are gradually withdrawing due to the weakening of China's economy. Recently, Bridgestone, Japan's largest tire and tire manufacturer, announced the closure of its Shenyang factory, leaving thousands of Chinese workers unemployed. Since last year, ten world-famous companies, such as Japan's Canon and South Korea's Samsung, have begun to withdraw from China, affecting tens of thousands of Chinese workers.
According to reports, Bridgestone will close its factory in Huizhou, Guangdong, at the end of 2021, and move its production lines and equipment to its factory in Shenyang. More than two years later, the factory also closed. On February 27, the company announced that it would stop producing tires at its Shenyang plant on January 26 and close the plant on February 29.
According to the report, among the world-famous companies that left China last year are Canon's camera factory, Samsung's TV factory, Sony's camera production line, Toshiba's laptop production line, Nikon's camera factory, Amazon's electrical appliance platform, and LinkedIn's social media in China. The communication platform, the software development center of the American Mintz Group in China, and the research center of the Japanese Astellas Pharmaceutical Group in China have moved their production chains to Thailand and the Philippines or returned to their own countries.
