Severe Crackdown in East Turkistan Reveals the True Situation

Video clips showing severe repression in East Turkistan are exposing the complete falsehood of China's propaganda about "all ethnic groups living prosperously."

Camp survivor Zumret Dawut shared a video on her Facebook account that reveals the falsity of China's propaganda to the international community regarding the East Turkistan issue, which claims, "We have provided employment for large numbers of people, and the masses are living happily." The video exposes the ongoing crimes of severe repression and discrimination that China continues to carry out in East Turkistan.

The video reveals how the persecution of Uyghurs by employers and police authorities in East Turkistan has created obstacles to Uyghurs' employment. According to the video, many Uyghurs faced severe difficulties finding work in Urumqi. A Uyghur worker who shared the video went to apply at an employer based on a job posting. During this process, the employer made excuses such as "ID didn't pass" or "there's a problem with the ID." When the ID holder went to their local police station to explain the situation, the police staff said, "There's no problem with your ID. If there had been a problem with your ID, we wouldn't have let you leave the neighborhood." Although this information from the police was conveyed to the employer, they responded by saying, "Have the police station issue proof that there's no criminal record." When returning to the police station, the staff told them, "Have the employer write a letter, and then we'll provide proof that you have no criminal record." When the Uyghur finally went to the potential employer requesting a letter, they responded, "Why should we write you a letter? Everything will be resolved if you just get proof from your local authority." As a result, this Uyghur person was unable to resolve their employment situation despite going back and forth between the police station and the employer.

In recent years, China has been trying to deceive the international community through various organizations such as the "Xinjiang Autonomous Region" Human Resources and Social Security departments, Public Employment Service Center, and Human Resources Center, and through programs like "Employment for the Poor," "Transfer and Employment of Surplus Rural Labor," and "Employment at Doorsteps."

However, China has been carrying out genocide by severely persecuting the people of East Turkistan for years, conducting mass detentions, and imprisoning people in concentration camps and prisons. China's surveillance measures against the people of East Turkistan continue consistently, and under this repressive policy, China has installed thousands of security cameras, facial recognition devices, and police stations throughout various regions of East Turkistan, severely monitoring and oppressing the people of East Turkistan.
