Russia claimed that its military relationship with China provides stability to the world

The commander of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, said on Friday that Russia's strong military cooperation with China will provide stability to the international community.

According to voice of America today, Gerasimov, the commander of the Russian offensive in Ukraine, made the above statements in a video conference with Liu Zhenli, chief of staff of the Chinese Central Military Commission.

In a video report issued by the Russian Defense Ministry, Gerasimov told Liu Zhenli: "the efforts of cooperation between Russia and China in the international arena have made the world situation stable.

"I believe that today's meeting will help us to further strengthen the Russian-Chinese strategic defense partnership,"he added in his speech.

At the end of his speech, he said that the joint military exercises between Russia and China should remain the focus of bilateral cooperation.

It is reported that after Russia launched an attack on Ukraine in February 2022, the relationship between Russia and China became even closer. As a result, while Western countries imposed economic sanctions on Russia, China refused to explicitly condemn Russia's aggressive war. In March this year, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Moscow and announced the beginning of a new era in relations between the two countries.
