Report: China forces Tibetans into mass migration

Human Rights Watch has released a new report revealing China's mass deportation of Tibetans.
The International Human Rights Watch released a report on May 21, accusing China of putting pressure on Tibetan farmers and herders and forcing them to move from villages where they have lived for a long time. So far, more than 140,000 Tibetans have been forced to move. The Tibetan government-in-exile believes that China's behavior is aimed at controlling and monitoring Tibetans' every move by stifling their freedom and cohesion to live together.
Human Rights Watch's new report, based on more than 1,000 articles published by Chinese media in recent years, sheds light on the sad reality that since 2016, China has forcibly displaced Tibetan farmers and herders from their homes through extreme measures such as the relocation of entire villages.
According to the report, more than 140,000 Tibetan citizens from 500 villages have been deported to other places, and the places where they were forcibly relocated are hundreds of kilometers away from their old homes.
Human Rights Watch said that China has used both soft and hard measures against Tibetans to implement the deportation plan, often under the pretext of so-called "improvement of employment opportunities and income".
In recent years, the crime of evicting the East Turkistan people from their homes and exile has been more serious and widespread than in Tibet. In East Turkistan, China first forced rural farmers to give their farmland to cooperatives through various means. Then it allowed the peasants who lost their land to be deported to Chinese provinces under the name of "relocation of surplus laborers." After that, the Chinese people settled in East Turkistan with high supplies and aid.
