Pakistani Prime Minister promises to protect the safety of Chinese workers

After several attacks on Chinese-owned areas in Pakistan last month, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif promised that China would provide better protection for workers.
According to Voice of America news, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif promised to better protect the safety of Chinese workers working in Pakistan on April 1. Last week, five Chinese workers were attacked and killed.
Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong also visited Dassault Hydropower Plant on Monday to meet Chinese workers and promised "impeccable" safety guarantees.
On March 26, a suicide bomber rammed his car into a convoy of Chinese engineers on their way to build a dam in northwestern Pakistan, killing five Chinese and a Pakistani driver. This is the third attack on Chinese-funded construction projects in Pakistan this week.
On March 30, a Chinese official said Chinese contractors had halted construction of two major dams in Pakistan after a suicide bomber killed five Chinese nationals and a Pakistani driver last week, and Pakistani authorities have asked companies to make new safety plans before reopening for about 1,250 Chinese jobs.
Two soldiers were killed and four wounded yesterday when unidentified gunmen attacked a Pakistani bomb disposal unit in the heavily invested Goidar district of Balochistan, Pakistan.
