OIC visit to East Turkistan has drawn reaction

The International Union of East Turkistan NGOs issued a press release calling on the representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) who visited East Turkistan upon the invitation of China to become tools of Chinese propaganda and to express discomfort with this visit and not to fall for China's tricks and to fulfill their Islamic duties.
Press Release Regarding the Visit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Delegation to East Turkistan
"On August 17, 2023, members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) sent a delegation to East Turkistan at the invitation of the Chinese government. The delegation was led by Djibouti's Representative to the OIC, Ambassador Dya-Eddine Bamakhrama, who serves as Permanent Representative to the OIC. The delegation included representatives of the 25 OIC Member States, such as Saudi Arabia and Mauritania, as well as officials from the OIC General Secretariat.
During the meeting, the OIC and its member countries intend to visit Xinjiang to discuss their relations with the Chinese Communist Party, in particular the situation of Muslims in occupied East Turkistan, and to observe the living conditions of the local Muslim community in the region.
It is a fact that China has implemented intensive policies of camps, brainwashing, total prohibition of Islam, forced abortion, forced children taken from their families and state-planned genocide after the occupation of East Turkistan in 1949. Since 2012, China has pursued a policy of "Sinicization of Islam," restricting Islamic practices, demolishing mosques, arresting Muslim scholars, ulama and thinkers, trying to legitimize its policies against Islam and covering up the ongoing genocide in East Turkistan. Moreover, China regularly invites delegates from Islamic countries with which it maintains good diplomatic relations, and has tried to deceive them by staging religious events, which are usually forbidden, specifically for these delegations. China legitimizes human rights violations against the people of East Turkistan under the guise of the "war on terror" and the "fight against extremism" and prevents third parties from interfering in this issue.
As stated in the OIC charter, the OIC assumes the role of protecting the interests of the Ummah in the socio-economic and political spheres beyond its member states. However, the silence and confused attitude of the OIC, which has the duty to defend the cause of the Muslim community, on the East Turkistan issue is very worrying.
The International Union of East Turkistan NGOs (UDTSB) calls on the OIC delegation to fulfill its duties to protect the rights of the people of East Turkistan and asks the OIC delegation to honestly report and disclose the facts and justice about their visit to Urumqi as taught in Islam. Furthermore, the UDTSB recommends that the OIC delegation take steps to stop the forced Sinicization of Islam and the destruction of East Turkistan's Muslim identity.
The International Union of East Turkistan NGOs asks Muslim scholars, Islamic organizations, movements, Muslim countries and politicians to stand with the people of East Turkistan and take action to end the ongoing genocide and Chinese colonialism," the statement said.
GENOCIDE GENITALS, EVEN CHINA
According to related Chinese media reports, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) delegation met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li and Chinese Islamic Society President Yang Faming in Beijing on August 17.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation praised China as a country that has achieved great success in social development, thanked China for its contributions to the economic and social development of Islamic countries and expressed the wish for further strengthening of cooperation with China.
