MP warns Turkey on trade with China

Mohammed Satik Bugra Kaunju, a member of parliament of the Yi Party and the group's vice-chairman, presented important warnings about China in the Turkish Parliament on July 26.
Kavunju expressed his concern about Chinese investment in Turkey and its possible risks, as well as the economic benefits of Chinese investment and the political and social negative effects it will bring to Turkey.
"There is an incredible bias towards Chinese investors in Turkey," he warned. For example: China's BYD has been encouraged to invest in Turkey in the automotive industry. Of course, investing in Turkey is a good thing, from a nationalistic point of view. more investors will come to our country. But we have Togg. When our country succeeds in this field, we are welcomed and praised both on social media and in many places. Thank you to everyone who contributed, and we hope that this kind of innovation will continue to come out. But currently, these privileges given to China in the automobile sector are a big risk for Turkey's investment in Togg.
He also said that not only in the automobile industry, but also in other fields, there is a great way for Chinese investors. China is active in Turkey not only in the business sector, but also in the media. As soon as the issue of East Turkistan is put on the agenda, some writers are writing articles in favor of China. He emphasized that there is a situation of changing direction, which is very dangerous from a strategic point of view.
Kaunju also talked about the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization" and stated that there is a strict assimilation policy in the member countries of this organization, the media sector is not free, the opposition cannot speak freely, and this kind of Chinese mentality is not a mentality that Turkey likes.
He also said that he is not against investors from all countries and sectors economically, but should be treated differently when it comes to China, and every deal with China should be discussed very urgently, especially to produce a local brand like Togg, and then On the other hand, China has said that it is not right to use the BYD brand.
Mohammed Kaunju also mentioned the problem of East Turkistan, and stressed that when something is said about East Turkistan, Chinese allies in Turkey will take action, and China has been funding certain intelligence agencies in Turkey.
