Massive Coal Resources are being exploited

Occupying China continues to extensively plunder various natural resources from East Turkistan. In the last 11 months, raw coal production in East Turkistan reached approximately 500 million tons.
According to China's propaganda outlet Tanrıdağ Network, based on data from China's Statistics Bureau, raw coal production in East Turkistan between January-November 2023 totaled 477.368 million tons. This figure represents a 19.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
The report stated that with the arrival of winter, coal production in East Turkistan has been accelerated to meet power plants' energy production and heating needs. In November, raw coal production reached 52.101 million tons, showing a 7.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
The report also mentioned that China is expanding smart technology restructuring activities in East Turkistan's mines to plunder coal resources more effectively. So far, 29 coal mines have been equipped with smart mining systems. Additionally, two 100-million-ton coal production and security bases have been constructed to accelerate coal production and supply.
Since occupying East Turkistan, China has continuously committed the crime of plundering natural resources alongside its genocide policies. These crimes both provide China with significant economic resources and serve as an important tool in solving China's energy crisis.
CHINA'S 4TH LARGEST COAL PRODUCING REGION
According to China's Statistics Bureau, East Turkistan's raw coal production reached 238 million tons in 2019, making it China's fourth-largest coal-producing region.
Following the recent energy crisis in China, energy resource transportation from occupied territories like Tibet, Inner Mongolia, and East Turkistan to Chinese provinces has accelerated. Coal reserves in East Turkistan constitute 37% of China's total coal reserves. Oil and gas reserves are estimated to constitute 25% of China's total reserves, with an estimated volume of 30 billion tons. Additionally, East Turkistan is at the forefront in wind and solar energy technology usage.
Observers remind that Chinese data regarding East Turkistan's resources is unreliable and say that the plundered resources are many times higher than the amounts China reports.
NOT JUST STEALING, BUT ALSO DAMAGING
According to the air quality index published in East Turkistan on October 4, 2021, air quality in three regions—Hotan, Kashgar, and Kizilsu—has reached dangerous levels, with air pollution in Ili province being even worse and potentially more harmful to human health.
Experts report that the majority of power plants in East Turkistan use coal as fuel, and despite China's promise to control toxic carbon dioxide emissions globally, it continues to expand the scale of power plants in East Turkistan each year.
