Main agenda of the 7th East Turkistan National Unity Council

The 7th International Council of National Unity of East Turkistan and the 16th World East Turkistan Brotherhood Meeting, hosted by the International East Turkistan NGOs Union, continued on October 6, 2024, with the broad participation of Uyghur diaspora leaders from more than 30 countries, especially Turkey, intellectuals defending the East Turkistan cause, statesmen, parliamentarians, academics, representatives of various civil society organizations, and the Arab Islamic world.
THE RISING POWER OF CHINA AND THE GLOBAL REFLECTIONS OF THE EAST TURKISTAN GENOCIDE
The 7th International Council of National Unity of East Turkistan began with the Quran recitation by Quran reciter Muhammed Emin Şahyar on the second day of the event on October 6, 2024 in the morning.
Then, the 1st Panel on the rising power of China and the global reflections of the East Turkistan genocide was discussed under the moderation of the Secretary General of the International East Turkestan NGOs Union Mr. Abdureşid Eminhaci and with comprehensive presentations by the Panelists Dr. Adrian Zenz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkin Ekrem, Mr. Adam Turan, Mr. Muhammed Demirovic.
The panelists discussed with the guests, through their detailed studies, the global effects of the genocide in East Turkistan in the last 10 years and the reactions of the international community, the international studies carried out in this context, civil diplomacy initiatives and their results, the importance of conducting scientific research on the region, the difficulties encountered in reporting studies, their solutions.
CHINA’S GROWING INFLUENCE IN THE ARAB-ISLAMIC WORLD AND THE EAST TURKISTAN ISSUE
The second panel, which took place towards noon, was titled “China’s Growing Influence in the Arab-Islamic World and the East Turkistan Issue” and was moderated by the Islamic World Coordinator of the International East Turkistan NGOs Union, Mr. Muhammed Emin Uygur, and featured comprehensive presentations by panelists Dr. Essam Abdel Shafi, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Essam Laorussi, Prof. Dr. Masut Sabri, Prof. Dr. Essam Faour Malkawi, Mustafa Ashour, and Khaled Al Shareef.
During the panel, issues such as China's increasing influence in the Arab-Islamic world, the position of the East Turkistan issue in international relations, global cooperation and the possible impact of East Turkistan on the real situation were examined in detail, and questions from guests from different countries were answered.
The 7th East Turkistan National Unity Council continued with the Closing and appreciation ceremony organized on the occasion of the successful conclusion of the “East Turkistan Intern Program” initiated by the International East Turkistan NGOs Union with the aim of raising future leaders of the East Turkistan cause in the afternoon of October 6, 2024. The youth, who accepted the Intern participation certificate and gifts from the East Turkistan cause pioneers, talked about their goals and plans-projects for the next processes, they are the unyielding defenders of the Holy Cause, and declared their will to work more determinedly.
STOPPING THE GENOCIDE AND ENDING THE OCCUPATION
The 7th East Turkistan National Unity Council continued with great interest and active participation in the 3rd Panel titled “Stopping the Genocide and Ending the Occupation” towards the evening hours of the day.
The Panel, moderated by Abdusselam Alim and featuring comprehensive presentations by Panelists Prof. Dr. Afandi Saleh, Sujeet Kumar, Dr. Kadir Temiz, Mohd Khairul Anwar Ismail, and Prof. Dr. Abdullah al-Ashal, addressed the systematic genocide policies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime in East Turkistan, the work that can be done in the diaspora to end the occupation in the face of the consequences of the occupation, and the development of new strategies.
The panel, where many successful past studies were examined, addressed the weaknesses in China’s oppressive system, preventive work against its inhumane cruelty, and various solution proposals on this issue.
In the 4th Panel that followed, the subject of “The Main Principles of East Turkistan Independence” was discussed with the evaluations of speakers Av. Nurmuhammed Turkistani, Mr. Siracettin Azizi, Mr. Abdussala Alim and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ataullah Şahyar, and the participants completed the day with workshops held in groups on topics such as Civil Diplomacy – New Opportunities and Initiatives, East Turkistan Diaspora – Identity Crisis – Difficulties Encountered in Transferring Cultural Identity, The Role of the Media in the East Turkistan Cause, International East Turkistan Initiatives, East Turkistan Diaspora – Identity Crisis – Problems of the New Generation in Transferring Cultural Identity, New Generation in the East Turkistan Cause – Development and Solidarity, and Information Transfer on East Turkistan Human Rights Research.
