Ma Xingrui emphasizes the policy of Sinicizing Islam

China is attempting to conceal its genocidal crimes in East Turkistan from the international community through its false propaganda, while constantly repeating terrorist policy terms such as "adhering to the Sinicization of Islam and adapting Islam to the socialist society" in East Turkistan.

According to a report by the Chinese media outlet Tengri Tag in East Turkistan on March 23, Ma Xingrui, secretary of the so-called "Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region," made an inspection visit to places such as the "Xinjiang Islamic Religion Institute" and the "Islamic Religion Association" as Eid al-Fitr approached.

During this visit, Ma Xingrui emphasized his anti-Islam terrorist policy, saying: "We must firmly adhere to the direction of Sinicization of religion and actively lead the adaptation of Islam to the socialist society in Xinjiang... We must strengthen ideological and political leadership, and lead the clergy and Muslim masses to develop and demonstrate core socialist values, strengthen heartfelt recognition of the motherland, Chinese nationalism, Chinese culture, the Communist Party of China, and socialism, and enhance awareness of the common entity of Chinese nationalism."

Ma Xingrui also met with pro-China officials from the so-called "Xinjiang Islamic Religious Association," which has been retained to deceive the international community. He stated, "The party's religious policy and legal education for the Muslim masses must be strengthened."

Concurrently with the ethnic genocide, China has begun implementing and promoting its so-called "culturalization of Xinjiang," forcing other Turkic peoples, including the Uyghurs, to accept Chinese culture. It also vigorously promotes the idea of "ethnic integration," comprehensively suppressing ethnic identity and religious beliefs, and in the process, disappears those who obstruct China's policies under various pretexts. Furthermore, China has repeatedly emphasized its terrorist policies in East Turkistan under the guise of "Sinicizing Islam and adapting it to socialist society," indicating that the campaign of repression against the people of East Turkistan will continue with greater severity.

Observers assert that China is restricting and destroying the material and spiritual culture of the East Turkistan people through various sinister means and under various pretexts, resulting in the demolition or destruction of more than 16,000 mosques and the killing or imprisonment of thousands of scholars. Despite strong condemnations from the international community, China has yet to abandon its policy of genocide. They also point out that governments and organizations in the Islamic world are turning a blind eye to China's crimes against Islam and Muslims, which has led to China's reassuring confirmation that it is implementing its terrorist policies more brutally, including the strict ban on Uyghur fasting this year as well.
