In 2024, China illegally transported 126.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from East Turkistan to China under the so-called "exporting Xinjiang's electricity."
According to Tiantang Network, a Chinese news agency in East Turkistan, on January 23, the so-called "Xinjiang" Energy Co., Ltd. transported 126.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from East Turkistan to China in 2024.
According to Chinese media reports, from the time China began exporting electricity from East Turkistan to Chinese provinces until 2024, the amount of electricity exported to China exceeded 100 billion kilowatt-hours for five consecutive years, with an average annual increase of 4.6%.
In 2024, the amount of new electricity exported from East Turkistan to China reached 39.2 billion kilowatt-hours. The total amount of electricity transported is equivalent to 38.33 million tons of standard coal, which is equivalent to 890,000 freight trains with a carrying capacity of 60 tons.
China has been expanding the scale of the so-called "Xinjiang Power Export" year by year. Since the start of the export of East Turkistan's electricity to China in 2010, the scale of the export has increased 42 times. The number of Chinese provinces supplied with East Turkistan's electricity has increased from 7 to 22.
According to reports, the Hami-Chongqing 800± kV ultra-high-voltage DC transmission project, the third DC transmission line under the so-called "Xinjiang Power Export", is under rapid construction. It is expected to be completed and put into operation before the end of 2025. When this project is completed, the capacity of East Turkistan's stolen power to China will reach 33 million kW. The proportion of new energy electricity exported will increase from the current 30% to 50%. Currently, East Turkistan has become China's largest export base for new energy.
In recent years, China's plunder of various resources in East Turkistan has continued at a rapid and large scale, commensurate with the crime of genocide. The huge resources flowing out of occupied East Turkistan are important for solving China's economic and energy crises, and therefore the Chinese continue to increase the scale and type of plunder. It was also known that the so-called "inviting a thousand doctors" plan to East Turkistan, which was specially promoted by Chinese media last week, was intended to develop East Turkistan's natural resources more widely and quickly.
