AGAINST CHINA
On the other hand, starting next month, special licenses will be needed to export gallium and germanium from China, the world's largest metal producer. China's decision comes after the US government's decisions to block China's access to some advanced microprocessors.
A statement released by China's Ministry of Commerce said the restrictions were necessary to "protect national security and interests". Silvery metals are very important in the manufacture of semiconductors, communication devices and military vehicles. It is also used in products such as solar panels.
