However, China continues to strictly enforce its policy of suppressing Islam and Muslims, which is part of the genocide in East Turkistan. Including the formulation of so-called new laws, legalizing the sincization of Islam in East Turkistan for a period of five years from 2018 to 2022. The plan is still ongoing, and so far nearly 16,000 mosques have been demolished or destroyed. Some of the remaining mosques have been converted into other event venues such as bars and teahouses. In addition, all activities related to religion were completely prohibited, and the people were forced to completely abandon Islam.
At the same time, China organizes support from the Islamic world under various names, visits pre-prepared limited locations in East Turkistan, and proclaims to the outside world that the people's religious and national identity is fully protected, and religious freedom is fully guaranteed. It continues to carry out genocidal policies with slogans such as "subjugation of religion to socialism".
On October 19th last year, another Indonesian "delegation of religious leaders" visited East Turkistan at China's invitation, conformed to China's false propaganda, and received strong criticism from East Turkistan organizations abroad due to their confusing statements after the visit.
