The email of the US ambassador to China was hacked. Chinese hackers linked to the Chinese government were able to hack the email of the US ambassador to Beijing, in order to collect intelligence information.
The "Wall Street Journal" has indicated that hundreds of thousands of government emails located on the US ambassador's account were seized through the hacking operation that took place. The newspaper added that Daniel kreitenbrink, assistant secretary of State for East Asian affairs, was subjected to a similar hack.
The Chinese hacker group called "Storm-0558" took advantage of the US ambassador to Beijing Nicholas Burns, and assistant secretary of State for East Asian affairs Daniel kreitenbrink, to gather intelligence information.
