G7 Summit: EU Openly Supports Trump's "China is the Problem"

At the G7 summit in Canada, European Union President Ursula von der Leyen criticized China's trade imbalance practices, asserting that US President Donald Trump was right on this issue.

According to a report by the French news agency, von der Leyen accused China of imposing export restrictions on vital materials such as cars and batteries, indicating that there is a severe problem in this regard, and that the US should not impose reciprocal tariffs on its allies, but rather resolve the trade imbalance with China through cooperation.

Ursula von der Leyen addressed China's unfair trade practices, asserting that China has used methods such as weakening intellectual property rights protections and providing massive subsidies to dominate the manufacturing sector and the global supply chain, and that this is not market competition but deliberate exploitation. In her speech, she also noted that China has become the primary supplier in the rare earths market, and that China uses this monopoly not only as a bargaining chip but also as a weapon to weaken its competitors in various sectors. She called on all countries to be aware of China's practices of flooding Europe with cheap manufactured products through subsidies, and to stand up to China's leadership in the field of raw materials.
