French newspaper: The terrible repression is still going on in East Turkistan

On October 24, "France World Newspaper" published a detailed report on the current situation in East Turkistan.
Frederic Lemaître, a reporter sent to East Turkistan by the French World newspaper, announced the news. It appears that the terrible situation in East Turkistan seems to be gradually disappearing, but the terrible repression still exists. Prayers in the Id kah mosque have been banned, and it has been turned into a tourist destination.
The reporter revealed that the Chinese regime is deceiving the international community by saying that "the situation has calmed down; everyone is living peacefully and enjoying religious freedom" in East Turkistan. Although trying to give the impression that there were no cases of torture and massacre, it proved that all worship and activities related to Islam were prohibited.
According to the report, last Friday, the reporter entered the famous Id kah mosque in Kashgar, and although he saw hundreds of Chinese people entering the Idkah mosque in large numbers, he did not see anyone coming to the mosque to worship.
According to the reporter, in the past few months, prayers have been stopped at the Id kah Mosque, and it has been turned into a tourist destination. The reporter, who did not see anyone praying in the mosque on Friday, asked the two officials monitoring the mosque, "Why are there no people praying in the mosque on Friday?" The two officers, uncomfortable with the question, replied that there was no prayer today.
The reporter continued to observe more than 20 elderly men and a few women during evening prayers, but not all of them dared to enter the mosque.
The reporter also reported that although life in Kashgar City seems to be going on normally, many shopkeepers are not as enthusiastic as before, small children and old people look sad, and girls all have their hair cut short.
The report also said that the control in Hotan city is strict, and no cars are allowed to drive within 200 meters of the station.
The news also reported that all activities related to Islam were banned in East Turkistan, all mosques in the vicinity except for the Id Kah Mosque in Kashgar were closed, and bearded men could not be seen except for a few elderly people. However, it is stated that the Uyghurs cannot get passports, and the terrible situation of suppression of the East Turkistan people in China still exists.
