Recently, the Chinese regime defined East Turkistan as an important food supply base for China by emphasizing the issue of food security.
According to China News Network's report dated August 2, China's above policy has been officially implemented in East Turkistan and the first results have begun to be seen. In addition, this year the total summer grain production in East Turkistan broke a record reaching 7.12 million tons, an increase of 460,000 tons compared to the previous year.
This year, Chinese authorities increased East Turkistan’s wheat-based grain planting area by 792,000 acres compared to the previous year, making up 62.2 percent of all grain planting areas in China.
The report also mentioned that "The Chinese regime implemented a policy of making East Turkistan a source of food and grains for all China, which means that the region will now play a more important role in food supply to China."
The Chinese regime has also identified East Turkistan as a food base, fruit base and meat base, as well as an energy production base to ensure China's food security.
Since the beginning of this year, the Chinese regime has once again launched «8 major industrial production clusters» in East Turkistan, including energy production which are directly related to the forced labor of the Uyghurs and severe environmental pollution, including production of oil, natural gas, coal, electricity, cotton, textile, clothing, grain and fruit.
