Definition of East Turkistan in the country definition event

East Turkistan was specially profiled at the “Country Definition Days” organized by Bab Alem Association for International Students on March 2 at Rami Library, Istanbul, Turkey.
At the beginning of the event, Dr. Ataullah Shahyar delivered an opening speech on behalf of the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations and gave a brief introduction to East Turkistan.
After that, the president of the East Turkistan Scholars Union, Dr. Alam Jan Bogda, spoke about the points, which were: “What can we do about East Turkistan, and what can the youth do?” He spoke in detail about the fact that China is carrying out genocide in East Turkistan, and what people in the East Turkistan diaspora should and can do in this situation.
Abdul Ahad Odon, Secretary General of the Human Rights Monitoring Association in East Turkistan, also spoke and presented the history of the two republics that were established in East Turkistan and the ongoing repression since the occupation of China.
In addition to the speech of Murat Yilmaz, President of the Orphan Foundation, the event also showed participants a documentary about the tragic situation in East Turkistan, “Its Called Genocide,” directed by Tulay Gökçemen.
In the library hall, pictures related to the concentration camps established by China in East Turkistan and genocide crimes were displayed, and the current dangerous situation in East Turkistan was introduced. In addition, the exhibition displayed foods, clothing, handicrafts and images related to the Uyghur people, showing the beautiful culture of the Uyghur people.
