Chinese workers are attacked again in Pakistan

A series of attacks on Chinese workers in Pakistan in recent years has hampered China's business plans, and this week two more Chinese were attacked in the city of Karachi.
Pakistani authorities said on November 5 that a security guard shot and wounded two Chinese workers at a factory in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi. Karachi authorities have confirmed the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police said the security guard who fired the shot got into a heated argument and fought with two Chinese workers before the incident. Two Chinese were taken to the hospital after being attacked, one in serious condition.
This is the third armed attack on Chinese workers in Pakistan this year. Last month, two Chinese were killed in a car bomb attack near the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
In addition, on March 26 this year, a suicide bomber rammed a car into a Chinese convoy on its way to a dam in northwestern Pakistan, killing five Chinese and one Pakistani driver.
This series of attacks is deeply disturbing to China, and last week China's ambassador to Pakistan accused the Pakistani government of neglecting the security concerns of the Chinese. The Pakistani side also reacted unexpectedly, saying that the Chinese ambassador's words were against the diplomatic tradition between China and Pakistan.
