China met with Saudi Arabia

Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz discussed possibilities for developing bilateral cooperation in the field of energy with Zhang Jianhua, director of the Chinese National Energy Agency.

The official Saudi Press Agency reported that Abdulaziz held a meeting with Zhang and his delegation in the capital, Riyadh.

He also mentioned in the meeting that they discussed the relations between Saudi Arabia and China, and ways to improve cooperation in the fields of energy, and also assessed the importance of ensuring the security of energy supplies.

Nuclear energy projects were discussed

It has been confirmed that Saudi and Chinese officials have also discussed joint projects in areas such as converting crude oil into petrochemicals, innovative uses of hydrocarbons and the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, and projects in the fields of mining, electricity, renewable energy, and clean hydrogen. In addition, he mentioned that cooperation efforts between the two countries in energy supply chains were also discussed, and the efforts of Saudi Arabia and China in the field of climate change were also discussed.
