The Political Council of the so-called "Xinjiang Autonomous Region" approved in its 2025 plan, in reference to genocide policy, "encouraging the change of old habits and traditions of all nationalities, and promoting the integration of the concept of modern civilization into daily life" as a movement for the Political Council this year.
According to the Tengri Tag website, the consultation plan for 2025 for the Political Council was approved on February 19 after approval by the so-called "Party Committee of Xinjiang Region."
The plan emphasizes the need to "strengthen unity among nationalities and nourish Xinjiang with culture" and establish an important supply base for high-quality agricultural and animal products for China in East Turkistan through holding standing committee meetings, special consultations, monthly dialogues, and remote meetings.
According to the Chinese regime's plan, the Political Council will hold a remote consultation meeting for the first time this year to discuss the implementation of repressive policies such as "encouraging the change of old habits and traditions of nationalities in agricultural and pastoral areas and promoting the integration of the concept of modern civilization into daily life."
The report also confirmed that to ensure the tangible implementation of the consultation plan, the organizational leadership of the Political Council will be strengthened, using methods such as direct interviews, surprise visits, questionnaires, expert consultation, and statistical analysis.
Despite China's denial of genocide and its attempt to show a false image of normalizing the situation in East Turkistan to the world, its new plans related to "encouraging the change of old habits and traditions" reveal the continuation of policies of genocide, assimilation, and the increasing destruction of Uyghur culture, traditions, and customs.
