China launches new campaign against Uyghurs under the slogan "fighting dark forces"

China held a special meeting titled "Eliminating Dark and Vile Forces" as it prepares to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the so-called "Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region."

According to a report by the Tianshan Network, a Chinese propaganda outlet, the Chinese regime convened the "2025 Anti-Dark and Vile Forces Leadership Group Meeting" in Urumqi on May 31 and outlined plans for activities for the year.

China holds special meetings under this title annually to plan and implement more severe suppression of the people of East Turkistan. This year's similar meeting emphasized that 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the so-called "Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region," and therefore, the campaign must be intensified.

The meeting also announced that the satisfaction level with the so-called "Eliminating Dark and Vile Forces" service in East Turkestan has reached 97%, and that the people's sense of security is the highest in China. The meeting was held simultaneously across East Turkistan.

China continues to perpetrate systematic ethnic genocide in East Turkistan, while continuing its repression, surveillance, and control activities under various pretexts, besieging the people with intense pressure from all sides.

This year, China is making special preparations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region." Along with intensifying propaganda on this issue, its repressive activities are also focused on this goal.
