China has launched another large-scale fake propaganda campaign in the name of “Travelling along the border for 10,000 miles” under the pretext of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the so-called “foundation of the Uyghur Autonomous Region” in East Turkistan.
According to a relevant report by Tiantang Network on June 17, the main goal of this campaign is to whitewash China’s crime of occupation, and to highlight the shameless propaganda that “under the policies of the Chinese Communist Party for the past 70 years, there have been great changes in all parts of East Turkistan, and now the people live in harmony, prosperity, and peace.”
The report claims that East Turkistan has a border length of more than 5,700 kilometres and borders eight countries, and that visiting along the 10,000-mile border is of great importance in this propaganda campaign.
According to the report, in this fake propaganda campaign, more than 50 Chinese journalists will set off from the Khorgos border port, split into two routes, and begin a month-long visit along the border of East Turkistan. During this process, the checkpoints and border crossings established in the border counties and cities are being filmed, and China is trying to present a completely distorted picture.
Since the beginning of this year, China has been organizing various meetings, events, and competitions in the name of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the so-called "establishment of the Uyghur Autonomous Region", and is trying to whitewash the history of occupation in East Turkistan and the ongoing crime of genocide through the press, press, and media. At a time when China is emphasizing strengthening border defense, the Chinese media has launched a false propaganda campaign focused on border areas.
