China is adapting its language policy to the crime of genocide

The 2024 Literacy Work Conference was held in East Turkistan, and in addition to emphasizing the strengthening of Chinese language learning, the Literacy Work was explained in connection with genocide policy phrases such as "Consolidating the consciousness of the Chinese national community, nourishing Xinjiang through culture."
China People's Network reported on June 2 that the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region" speech and writing conference will be held on May 14, 2024, and the work of 2023 will be summarized and the key tasks for this year will be arranged. Wang Jianxin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region," head of the propaganda department, and secretary of the Education Work Committee, spoke at the meeting.
He said that the work of language and writing professionals should promote the communication of all ethnicities, "consolidate the consciousness of the common Chinese nation, nourish Xinjiang through culture, and increase the country's efforts to popularize the common language and writing.".
At the end of the meeting, Wang Jianxin added: "We should learn and improve the effectiveness of using the common language of the country." We will promote the development of international Chinese language education and improve the working mechanism of the Language and Writing Committee.
Officials from Urumqi City, Kashgar Prefecture, the so-called "Xinjiang" University, and Pedagogical University participated in the meeting. However, the report did not mention any content related to Uyghur language or writing.
In addition to sinicizing millions of teenagers in so-called boarding schools, China continues to commit genocide in East Turkistan, forcing the East Turkistan people to learn and use the Chinese language.
After the start of the so-called "Chinese Common Language Promotion Week" in East Turkistan in 2023, China will set up propaganda and consultation platforms in various places in East Turkistan, hold recitation activities of Chinese classics, and hold a demonstration course for teaching staff at the farmers-pastoral evening course. Open, organized activities such as learning the common Chinese language together as a family.
Since 2017, China has started to implement and promote the so-called "Xinjiang Cultural Feeding Project", which is forcing Turkic ethnic groups such as the Uyghurs in East Turkistan to adopt Chinese culture. Also, it is actively promoting the so-called "merging of nations" and suppressing national identity and religious beliefs.
According to reports, in addition to the millions of Uyghur children who are currently taken away from their parents or imprisoned in detention camps because their parents are in prison camps, millions of Uyghur teenagers are not entirely educated in the Chinese language, Chinese culture, and communism, even in the boarding schools that China has been running in East Turkistan for years.
