The Chinese government held an introductory meeting this year on the settlement and attraction of civilian enterprises to East Turkistan in Beijing on February 28, aiming to fully sinicize East Turkistan and expand the scope of forced labor in the region.
According to Tengri Tag, on February 28, the “Introduction Meeting for Civilian Enterprises’ Contribution to the Development of Southern Xinjiang in 2025” was jointly sponsored by the so-called “Uyghur Autonomous Region Government” and the “Production and Construction Division” (a paramilitary force directly subordinate to Beijing) under the theme of “Integrating the strength of the division with the locals and making Xinjiang prosper through industry.”
The report said the introductory meeting aimed to encourage and guide more civilian enterprises to invest in East Turkistan, especially in its southern regions, by establishing a “Xinjiang Aid” activity platform.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the so-called “Uyghur Autonomous Region” presented projects from cities in the three prefectures, two counties, and divisions in southern East Turkistan. These projects include about 1,270 projects in the fields of culture and tourism, agriculture, forestry, livestock breeding, fishery processing, and industry, with a total estimated value of about 870 billion yuan.
The report said that the meeting was attended by more than 300 people, including representatives of the China Federation of Business and Industry, the business and industrial associations in Beijing, Hebei Province, and Tianjin, and representatives of their directly affiliated business associations and member companies, as well as representatives of the "Xinjiang Businessmen Association in Beijing" and its member companies.
As part of the crime of genocide in East Turkistan, China is on the one hand intensifying detention in concentration camps and prisons, and on the other hand, the trade unions organized by the Chinese government are settling Chinese companies in various parts of East Turkistan under the name of "poverty alleviation" and "local employment" and are imposing forced labor on the local population by various means. Chinese trade unions have played an important role in subjecting the Uyghurs to forced labor and expanding its scope, and these institutions are currently directly communicating with Chinese companies and selling Uyghur youth to these companies at low prices.
The Chinese government has beautified the crimes of detention in concentration camps and forced labor under the name of "vocational training." In addition to relocating Chinese companies, the Chinese government is particularly working to fully sinicize East Turkistan by attracting Chinese settlers with high salaries, free housing, free land, and other privileges to settle in East Turkistan.
