China held a meeting about the newly compiled literature textbook in Urumqi

China has recently compiled a university language and literature textbook with the main theme of "Chinese National Community Consciousness," and a special meeting about this textbook was held in Urumqi last week.

According to a related report from China's propaganda organ Tianshan Net, on June 21st, a discussion meeting was held at "Xinjiang University" regarding the university language and literature textbook focused on strengthening "Chinese National Community Consciousness." Researchers and basic educators from 33 universities in China participated in the meeting.

This textbook was jointly distributed by "Xinjiang University" and Beijing Language and Culture University, with many universities in China participating in its compilation.

The report states that this textbook breaks away from traditional textbook compilation logic, making "Chinese National Community Consciousness" building the core framework for the first time, and through 16 lessons in the book, it illuminates 16 themes such as "territorial expansion and state governance," thereby enabling students to develop "Chinese National Community Consciousness" while learning language and literature.

It is reported that this textbook will be taught on a pilot basis in universities in East Turkistan starting this fall and will be popularised in all universities in China.

From the images shown in the classified report, it appears that in addition to including lessons about the occupier and executioner Zuo Zongtang, the textbook contains content about Han Chinese migration to East Turkistan, ethnic unity, cultural commonality during the Tang Dynasty, and cultural integration in food, clothing, and customs. It's not difficult to see that China has made special efforts to distort and whitewash its history of occupation, racial genocide, assimilation, and other crimes.
