China has launched another large-scale false propaganda campaign, dubbed the "Ten Thousand Kilometre Border Journey," under the pretext of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the so-called "founding of the Uyghur Autonomous Region" in East Turkistan.
According to relevant news from the Tengri-Tag Network on June 17, this activity emphasized the need to embody shameful propaganda aimed primarily at justifying the crime of Chinese occupation, such as "great global changes have taken place throughout East Turkistan under the policies of the Chinese Communist Party over the past 70 years, and the people now live in harmony, prosperity, and peace."
The report stated that East Turkistan's border stretches over 5,700 kilometres and that it borders eight countries. It emphasized the great importance of the 10,000-kilometre border crossing in this propaganda campaign.
According to the report, in this false propaganda campaign, more than 50 Chinese journalists set out from the Qorgas border crossing, split into two groups, and began a month-long visit along the entire East Turkistan border. During this process, targeted filming will be conducted of locations such as checkpoints and border crossings established in border provinces and cities. Through this, China is attempting to present a completely distorted picture.
Since the beginning of this year, China has organised numerous meetings, activities, and competitions to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the so-called "founding of the Uyghur Autonomous Region." Through its media, press, and other outlets, it is attempting to justify the history of occupation in East Turkistan and the ongoing ethnic genocide. While China has specifically emphasized strengthening border defenses, this time, Chinese media outlets have launched a false propaganda campaign focusing on the border areas.
