Due to China's genocidal policies in East Turkistan, including the crime of subjecting the Uyghur people to widespread forced labor, China faces various economic sanctions, and currently, these sanctions are showing their effect. To compensate for its losses, China has mandatorily imposed the so-called "dual renewal" policy.
According to the Chinese propaganda newspaper "Xinjiang," on January 25, at a press conference held by the Information Office of the so-called "Uyghur Autonomous Region Government" regarding the consumer goods replacement policy in the trade sector for 2025, it was revealed that the Chinese regime will expand the mandatory implementation of the "dual renewal" policy in East Turkistan, which includes widespread equipment renewal and replacement of old consumer goods.
The report stated that financial support standards will be increased for the renewal of agricultural machinery, including cotton harvesting machines, new energy public transport buses, and batteries. Relevant banks will provide interest support of 1.5 percentage points from central finance for companies renewing eligible equipment, and ultra-long-term special loans will be arranged to reduce equipment renewal financing costs.
The report also indicated that regarding the scope of "support," the "dual renewal" policy will be expanded this year, and in addition to sectors including industry, energy and electricity equipment, transportation, logistics, environmental infrastructure, education, culture, tourism, and medical care, it will be expanded to include electronic information, safe production, and agriculture sectors.
Observers point out that some countries, including the United States, have imposed sanctions on Chinese companies and institutions due to forced labor in East Turkistan, and many Chinese companies have been severely affected by the ban, with the accumulation of products produced by Chinese companies creating significant pressure on China. However, China has ignored these pressures and continued to systematically introduce Chinese companies to various regions of East Turkistan, continued forcing local residents into forced labor under the pretext of "employment" with various arguments, and the scope of forced labor continues to expand while Chinese companies force people to purchase forced labor products.
