China forced to publish tax exemption list

China is currently trying to ease its tariff war with the United States and is said to have drawn up a list of some American products that will be exempted from 125% tariffs.

According to Reuters, several people familiar with the matter said that relevant Chinese authorities have contacted Chinese companies privately and provided them with a list of American products that will be exempted from tariffs.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that China had quietly exempted some American products from tariffs, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, medical devices and aerospace components that China cannot buy from other countries. Now, the relevant list exists.

However, China has so far not held any talks with the United States and claims that it will continue to fight with the United States on the tariff issue and will not tolerate any concessions.
