China could control the brakes of electric cars in the UK in major security threat

Organizations linked to the Chinese government could control the brakes of electric cars in the UK and cause a major security threat.
The claim, made in a report by a Chinese surveillance expert, raises questions over the safety of passengers in the future.
The report has been written by the founder of New Kite Data Labs, Christopher Balding, who warned that some of the systems in electric cars were susceptible to being remotely overridden.
He added that not only could the brakes be targeted, but so too could the steering.
Mr. Balding’s claims come as a wave of Chinese electric cars enter the UK electric car market.
