China is exploiting the electricity resources extracted from East Turkistan to address its domestic energy shortage. Recently, the Xinjiang-to-Chongqing Power Transmission Line, which connects East Turkistan to Chongqing, was put into operation. This project is part of the ongoing efforts to expand the power transmission network with the aim of seizing the energy resources extracted from East Turkistan.
According to a report by TanritaG, on November 8, the final stages of the 800± kilovolt high-voltage stable power transmission line project between Kumul and Chongqing were completed. The line is located in a desert about 100 kilometers from the Nom market in the Aratürk district of Kumul City. With the completion of this project, the East Turkistan section has been connected to the stable power line between Kumul and Chongqing.
The line connects five Chinese provinces, and the amount of electricity transmitted from East Turkistan to China this year is expected to reach about 327 billion kilowatt-hours.
In recent years, China has continued to plunder various resources in East Turkistan at an accelerated pace and on a large scale, in line with its policies that amount to genocide. These resources play a vital role in addressing China's economic and energy crises, which prompts it to expand the scope and types of plunder continuously.
