China and its allies are closely monitoring the Russian-Ukrainian war

The British Defense Minister has confirmed that China, Iran, and North Korea are paying special attention to developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to Radio France International on February 13, Britain chaired the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting for the first time, where British Defense Minister John Healey announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth £150 million. This aid includes aircraft, combat vehicles, and air defense systems. Healey, who chaired the meeting, emphasized that "this year will be decisive in the Ukrainian war." He added that "the war in Ukraine is about the global order, and China, Iran, North Korea, and Putin are waiting for an opportunity to exploit any weakness in the international community."

According to the Central News Agency, Healey stressed in his opening speech that Ukraine's security is linked to global security and that the war in Ukraine affects more than just Ukraine's fate. He indicated that China, Iran, and North Korea are carefully monitoring the situation, and that these countries, like Russian President Putin, are watching for any signs of weakness from the international community and waiting for countries to divide and lose their unity.

Healey also emphasized that failing to stop aggression in one continent would embolden authoritarian regimes in other continents and that changing any country's borders by force threatens the security of all countries worldwide.

About 50 countries participated in the 26th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, held at NATO headquarters in Brussels on February 12.

It's worth noting that the main mission of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group is to coordinate security and defense assistance provided by various countries to Ukraine following the comprehensive Russian invasion in February 2022. The U.S. Defense Secretary had consistently chaired the meetings previously, and this is the first time Britain has organized it.
