The occupying Chinese regime continues to develop new and increasingly limitless methods to cover up the ongoing Muslim Turkic genocide in East Turkistan. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime, which sends delegations to countries and organizes theater-like trips, also uses archaeology to cover up the ongoing Muslim Turkic genocide.
According to the Chinese propaganda agency Tanrıdağ Network, the Chinese government put into effect the so-called "Regulations on the Protection of the Ancient City of Kashgar", which was adopted by the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress in the region on March 14, 2024, on May 1, 2024. This step was promoted by the Chinese media as an indication of China's efforts to protect cultural heritage in East Turkistan.
However, the East Turkistan diaspora around the world considers this move as China's attempt to cover up its genocidal crimes in the region
“SPREADING CHINESE NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS”
According to information, on March 25, the so-called “Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region” held a working meeting on local legislation, and the Chinese regime in East Turkistan emphasized the need to issue a circular based on the so-called “Spreading Chinese National Consciousness” as one of the main slogans of genocide.
However, since the date of the occupation, China has been oppressing the people of East Turkistan under various names, and in recent years, instead of protecting the culture of East Turkistan as they claim, they have completely banned the beliefs, culture, language, and traditions of the people of East Turkistan under various pretexts and have resorted to various accusations to detain millions of Uyghur and other Muslim Turkic people in concentration camps and prisons by committing genocide. Ancient artifacts and historical remains have been destroyed by China or turned into museums.
Since China’s invasion of East Turkistan, it has been using so-called “local regulations” to suppress the people of East Turkistan in order to avoid international condemnation, and at a time when the genocide in East Turkistan is under pressure from the international community, it is trying to legalize and expand its crimes through local regulations.
EFFORTS TO HIDE THE TURKISH GENOCIDE UNDER THE MASK OF CULTURAL HERITAGE
China continues to suppress the region under the guise of “protecting” local and cultural heritage in East Turkistan. Archaeological studies and so-called protection projects in historical regions such as Kashgar are actually used as a tool to conceal the cultural genocide being implemented in East Turkistan. According to China’s claims, these projects aim to protect historical remains. However, these steps also lead to the destruction of the language, faith, and culture of the Uyghur Turks in the region.
THE OVERSHADOWED FACE OF GENOCIDE
While historical artifacts and cultural remains in East Turkistan are being destroyed and turned into museums by China, these areas are being reshaped with so-called protection projects. China’s interventions in the Ancient City of Kashgar are being used as a cover to conceal the genocide in the region.
